This installation for the Ari Cancer Foundation is very close to our hearts. Booths have been installed in 3 hospitals, Red Cross, Tygerberg and Groote Schuur.

 

The brief was to create a space for teens and young adults to recieve treatment in a space that caters to their specific phase of life and requirements.

 

The concept was to create a box that can be closed when not in use and open and flexible when required. The one wall of the box is a relaxation wall with a relaxation'pod'. A womblike space for reading and listening to music. The other wall is for hobby and work space. From this wall flexible pull down working surfaces and sliding chairs create a flexible working area.
